Home Behavioral Support

Keen Connections will conduct thorough home studies, analyzing the family’s environment through an Observation & Assessment.  A comprehensive program will be developed to address the unique behavioral education needs of each family.

Keen Connections will provide services that generally include, but not limited to the following:

Initial Meeting

Keen Connections provides an initial, no-cost, 1-hour collaborative meeting to access the behavioral education support needs of the family and how we can meet those needs.

Behavioral Support Plan

By conducting multiple home-study observations, interviews, and conversations, Keen Connections will develop a Family Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) to do the following:

  • Identify the problem or target behavior
  • Define the behavior in concrete terms
  • Identify the contextual factors & triggers that contribute to the behavior
  • Identify the general conditions under which a behavior usually occurs and probable consequences that serve to maintain it.
  • Establish short term & long term goals
  • Develop strategies for changing the behavior
  • Teach alternative behavior
  • Establish consequences for target/problem behavior
Objectives / Goals

After the Family Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) is complete, school and community objectives / goals and supporting training materials will be evaluated and modified if necessary

Training

Upon implementation of the program, training will be conducted for all behavioral educators involved

Reevaluation

Ongoing maintenance support will be provided, along with training/feedback and revision of program goals and objectives as needed

Individualized Education Program Behavioral Support

Keen Connections provide Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Behavioral Support for students, their families and educators. In keeping with our model of a family and community collaborative, this service falls under both Home Behavioral Consulting and Support Training Workshops.

Meetings will address the specific educational issues and concerns to develop a behavioral support plan for family and school partnering. Upon completion of the Behavior Support Plan (BSP), on-going collaborative family and school training and supports will be provided.
